This pub is under new management and the food is good pub fare, not too fancy but very tasty. The real ale is good but could do with some darker beers for more variety. The staff were very friendly and well mannered (pet hate of mine, bad manners).Hope to be going there boxing day.

Don't bother going, went for Sunday lunch, food cold and unappealing, toilets not much better. Staff not very friendly. First and last time of going.

After entering and waiting 15 mins before anyone appeared, we left and headed over the bridge to a far friendlier pub

Awful food! Not worth the wait we had for it! Staff were most unhelpful! The children's facility's were appalling!! Disgusting toilet and the soft play area is in need of a clean! Needs a good sort out before we will be returning!!

Went for food and then to watch the band thinking it would b a great music venue!
Hardly anyone there and music far too loud!
Waited ages to be served at the bar as the staff were all "busy" and our meal took ages!
Won't be returning or recommending!!

We decided to give this pub a try again as it was under new management and might have improved! Sadly not! The service was poor and the food took so long we had to go back various times to complain! It wasn't as tho it was particularly busy!
The food was tasteless and nothing special and the "wildlife" floating around in the park wasn't an ideal sight!
Sorry

Unfortunately not quite a friendly pub as described to me. Turned up to watch a live act and a meal after a recommendation from a friend. The meal wast the best and was only warm which i complained about and the replaced. then to the music ,after a very short set they finished early as problems with the owners saying they didn't know it was booked. Beer was ok but not a very nice atmosphere in the bar with landlady and musicians having discussions in front of everyone. Shame as the place itself has a nice warm and old "Pub" feel about it. that's the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars,Sorry
