Yesmy husband and I went for champaign sunday as he was working at the front door fri evening security he wanted me to see how the referb went as our local is of course the Angel corbridge my opinion was it was obvious new shiney quite nice I complemented the decaration of the referb with one of my floral art flower arrangements from my studio poshweeds floral art from janaverre@hotmail. Com which the bright orange brightened the bar immediately so my professional husband and my self had viewed the pub

Fitzgerald's pubs in and around Newcastle are usually among the best for cask ale and traditional atmosphere but this place is the exception and is unwelcoming in the extreme.

Service tends to be surly and the clock is kept permanently fast with the result that time is called early and about five minutes later the full contempt of the staff is turned on anyone who's still there.

One of English pub life's worst traditions.

Fitzgerald's on Grey Street looks great but could do with a refurb.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the food is great well worth a visit day and night I've been going for years and love it.
