Was told to leave at 5.30pm after we had ordered our drinks and were about to sit down outside to selected our food. The waiter who asked us to leave was very rude and nasty. When asked why we had to leave when the licensing law permit children to sit and eat a meal had told us it was the pubs own rules that no kids after 5.00pm. We requested and got our money back that we had paid for the drinks with no apology whatsoever. On checking the pubs website later it states that children are welcome any time upto 9.00pm so why were we asked to leave at 5.30 pm ????????. This is terrible customer service and after commenting about his friendly and nice the people of South Sheilds are we encountered a very nasty, rude and abrasive baiter. We visit South Sheilds very regularly as we love the people and eating places there, but one thing for sure I will certainly never visit this pub again.
