A nicely placed location and spacious pub that has a feel of being further out of town than it is.
I have been here on numerous occasions (last visit was approx late may 2013)
We usually sit in the conservatory area with a view of wildlife to the fore and Newcastle to the background.
Spotted a deer running Through Whickam Thorns recreation area while eating there last.
Good Sunday lunch served here.
I can recommend it for a decent standard of service and an honest plate of good food. Home made chips and generous portions. I have not had a poor meal here to date! That says it all really to me.
