Me and my partner were at newcastle attending bryan adams show so about 5pm we nipped out for some tea and noticed Coco Mos, looked nice from outside and was few people in. This is a very very very poor resturant. If you want uncooked garlic bread and grey chicken with veins running threw the chicken go here ! It was disgusting, it was highly over priced too. As i say my garlic bread wasnt even cooked, and my chicken when it first come was tiny and i cut into it and noticed it was grey and not white so i didnt touch it, and the veins running threw the chicken put me off too. My partner got fillet steak baring in mind £16.00 or so, it was the smallest fillet steak we had seen and the toughest fillet steak too. It was hard to even cut to eat. Then when we got our bill they had added £4.10 just on for service, drinks were highly over priced same as food. It was a disgrace. I would not recommend anyone at all to go to this resturant. If the food was nice i would not of minded paying the prices but it was very poor quality. We barely touched our food yet the staff didnt ask why we left most of it. Vile !!

Having been asked by my friend and his partner did we know of any where that wasn’t to expensive, my wife suggested maybe Cocomo’s. I researched the place quite a bit on the internet and all I appeared to find was reports of non attentive staff and apparent chaos. Wondering if people had maybe been a bit unfair on the place we decided to go and see for ourselves.
We booked our table for 8:00pm and arrived on time. On arrival at the reception are we noted the sign please await attention, but here’s my point the complete absence of a maitradee immediately got me thinking fifteen minutes passed by we are still standing in the reception area on behind the please wait sign without a acknowledgement from any member of staff who had certainly noticed us and other people also waiting confusion.
The restaurant wasn’t even half full and yet there appeared to be staff racing all over the place with staff noting our presence but no acknowledgement what so ever.
Eventually a very arrogant untidy looking man approached my friend without a welcome or good evening type gesture “youl have to wait he hollowed” my friend was a bit stunned as no prior acknowledgement had taken place and he actually thought the guy was just another customer who was making a passing comment .
Sure I replied we have no problem waiting in the seated area I replied although we have booked , ohh have you have replied the member of staff in disbelief, well you still have to wait he replied handing us one menu to review between the four of us and raced off again, even though a whole stack of menus lay on he reception counter. So we waited and waited, still real correct acknowledgement of arrival or offer to serve drinks in the reception area.
After I had apologised to my friends for the complete disregard to our presence and the non attentive our even courteousness of and staff, I decided that I had seen enough and realised the validity of the former internet reviews that I had read.
