I booked a table here for a Graduation meal & was very much looking forward to it. We were welcomed by the maitre'd & seated in the restaurant (which was empty).
Upon arrival I had noticed an 'offer' menu on the board outside, which gave a selected starter, main & glass of house wine for £12.95.
However there was no reference to this offer inside the restaurant.
When asked if we were ready to order by our waiter for the evening (Oscar), I enquired about the other menu I had seen outside, as some of these dishes did not seem to be on the normal menu.
The waiter appeared to change his attitude towards us & sneered before disappearing to find the menu.
Returning 15mins later the waiter told that the menu's had been stolen & he would have to write it down from outside, another 10mins later he returned & we were able to order.
We were informed that those choosing from the 'offer' menu were eligible for a starter & main for £12.95 & our party then orded their meals(Some from the offer menu, other from the standard menu).
The starters arrived 25mins after ordering & by this time we had realised that there had also been a glass of wine included with the meal advertised and double checked with Oscar, who immediately confirmed that this was the case.
The main course took 1hr and 15mins to arrive from the starter plates being cleared.Only after 1hr & 10mins did any member of staff come over to appologise for the delay, again, this was Oscar & not the Maitre'd/Manager- who walked by many a time without saying a word.
After starting our meals, two of the party had noticed that the 'Classic Cheese and Bacon Burger' did not actually contain any bacon!
Which I admit,is no large issue however,if you have waited over an 1hr for your main course, you do expect it to arrive correctly!
When informed the staff did not seem interested and simply said 'oh sorry' & did no
