Only 1 star because it would not let me go any lower, If you want to be accused of theft because of the card machine running out of paper please go here but if after going out of your way to prove you had paid and after revisiting the Mandarin for what would have been at least a gesture of good will namely an apology from the Manager George to then be told despite having proven the bill had been paid not only then being asked to leave without an apology but to be then barred all but physically removed from the premises with the threat of police to be then told you were still a thief and a liar then this is the place for you. Oh the food however was passable.

It was absolutely fabulous! The food was great but most of all the staff, they were friendly, funny and very efficient and they made our evening very enjoyable. It’s highly recommended and we will be going back. Thanks very much to the gang at The Mandarin from the Joey party on Saturday.

My wife and I went out on a whim and the Mandarin looked okay from the outside. We selected THe Chef Special Banquet.

Big mistake. Food apart from the soup was served lukewarm and for the price, insufficient in the quantity stakes.

Staff were not busy but were always there to collect the cash. I refused to pay a service charge.

Having visited many Chinese restaurants in the area this was very disappointing. There are much better restaurants in the area ang I would recommend The Waterside.
