well its not exactly in newcastle, but last time i was up north i went to marsden grotto in south sheilds. actually built into a cave and with sea views, marsden grotto would show kate your a man with imagination.

i'm looking for a place with a bar, next to a bar, along a row of bars and pubs, somewhere i could get the bus....any ideas?

what about black friars in newcastle? its one of the oldest restaurants in the country and serves great food and wine. the alcoholic beverages available are amazing. plus its actually in newcastle this time.

sounds abit expensive, what are the prices like?

if you're going early evening they have a set menu costing around £16 for 3 courses. but all mains are less than a tenner. its hardly breaking the bank when wanting to 'wine and 'dine' someone.

do you know anywhere that does deals? you know buy one get one free, get a free bottle of wine, that kind of thing.
