Great pub. I go there a lot and have never had anything less than a great time. Friendly customers with not a clique in sight...fantastic entertainment, apparently 8 times a week including 3 lunchtime jazz sessions and a legendary Sunday afternoon music session that starts at about 5. The beer is cracking with four real ales and a choice of malts and rums to die for.

The food's not bad either. Snacky stuff but it's rumoured that full meals are starting in the spring. Mike the owner is some turn, both on and off stage, having been one of the top singers in the north east. I saw him sing a couple of songs last time I was in and I don't know why he spends all that money on other singers.

Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
