We stumbled across the village store and coffee shop in Matfen late last year and now make a point of visiting quite often.
The coffee shop has a beautiful garden terrace, which is the perfect place to spend a lazy summer's afternoon.
Also their food is just delicious ... especially their cranberry and white chocolate scones.
Basically everything is excellent quality and we think it is a little hidden gem!
I went to the coffee shop last summer whilst doing a little shopping and the coffee and cake I had were so good.
