First visit to Barkollo last night. Will definitely be returning and I urge others to do so!

Excellent food - well priced both drinks and food. Excellent staff and nothing seemed too much trouble. If your looking for somewhere quirky to go in Newcastle want a great variation of music and each visit to be different from the last. Look no further Barkollo will fit the bill without leaving you with a hefty one!

Barkollo isn't just a bar. It's an experience! Strolling through the "urban Garden" to the entrance, it isn't long before you are greeted by a member of their team who will quite literally bend over backwards to make sure you have a great time whilst there. Whether it be having a quiet drink at the bar, sampling some of the amazing freshly prepared food or dancing in the lounge upstairs; There is literally something for everyone. Barkollo has a unique atmosphere, it stands alone in Newcastle's night-life as being a hub of art, music and cinema but has no issues regarding pretentious clientèle that can frequent other "arty" establishments. The Barkollo team have made sure that Barkollo is for everyone no matter what you wear or which way you may sway and it is that trait that makes the venue so friendly! The entertainment is as diverse as it is inspiring!. On my last visit there - there were rock bands, classical virtuoso's, electro-pop producers and that's just the live music! Also on offer - an Art gallery, live performers outside with "fire-shows" and even a mini cinema in the basement, the list goes on! Prices are extremely competitive and there are often special offers on both food and drinks. Cocktails are available and the bar staff are often concocting their own delicious variations of drinks - my personal favourites being "the Beardsley" and "mackems Tears" cocktails! The football references are not just for good measure but also relevant to Barkollo's location near to St James' Park. Which makes this an ideal place for pre/post match food and drinks! Football supporters of all colours are assured a warm welcome on a match-day and visitors from other parts of the country get the chance to sample one of the best venues Newcastle has to offer! Overall, I would say Barkollo has to be experienced at least once - and you can be assured that once sampled you will return time and again to this refreshingly different spot of a very generic
