The landlord has a disgusting attitude. we walked out, after being told my disabled son was blocking other tables. The locals also had an issue with us using the disabled parking space. Even though my son has downs syndrome and we were displaying a blue badge. Ignorant individuals!

My family and I passed through here over the bank holiday weekend and stopped here for lunch. It has a superb setting, and although busy they managed to accomodate us in the conservatory, (from speaking to a staff member it is always recommended to book a table in there to avoid disappointment), nothing was too much trouble for the waitress. The crab sandwiches were delicious as were the deserts! :-) We will definately be returning!!!

Having read the reviews which sadly we didn't before hand, I have to agree that the landlord is the grumpiest, uninterested land lord we have ever met. Huge shame because the setting and the food was good. Proper chips instead of oven chips would be an improvement but the setting is stunning. We won't be returning in a hurry as there are far more welcoming pubs in the local area.

Very disappointing. We travelled 20 miles for a special occasion and were greeted " you're not in the conservatory there's a table over there. The barmaid had a terrible attitude. No starters on menu. Frozen chips instead of the advertised handcut homemade chips. Ran out of two thirds of their dessert menu by 8.45pm. Uncomfortable atmosphere all night due to the rudeness and unfriendlyness of one senior member of staff. The young waitress was lovely but we could see how embarrassed she was by the attitude of the other older woman. We won't be back and definitely don't recommend this place.
