***sitting at a table in the table service section***
***not a busy night, fi it was this service would have been excused***
1. had to ask at the bar for menus, only supplied with 1 between 5 of us
2. waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken
3. told our drinks would be brought straight away, waited at least 10 minutes for them
4. 3 meals came first, then we waited 10 minutes for the other 2 meals with no explanation from the staff
5. we did not receive a check-back during our meal to see how our meals were going down
6. we sat for 20 minutes with our empty plates before we had to ask a member of staff to clear our table
7. then when the waiter cleared our table, one of our party had left a sausage on their plate which was then dropped accidentally by the waiter, which wasn't a problem in itself until it was not picked up and was left on the floor and was still there when we left with at least 3 members of staff walking past it.
8. then we were asked what we wanted for dessert but we hadn't been given a menu to choose desserts
9. we didn't get asked if we wanted any more drinks despite when the waiter came to the table our glasses were less than half full
10. 3 desserts came after 10 minutes, and we had to wait another 5 minutes for the other 2, with no explanation from the staff for this delay
none of us were impressed at all by the service/value/money we spent and therefore none of us will be returning to this branch.
Took our grandaughter to Weatherspoons yesterday, she had the "afternoon" fish and chips and we had the de luxe Burgers. Service was good, and quick but the food was easily the worst Pub Meal we have ever had - Burgers were burned rubber, and tasteless and cold. Our Grandaughter's fish was hard and grey, quite unpleasant! We will never eat at a Weatherspoons again. Disgusted.
