went to the falcon inn for mothers day. Was not impressed, there was only one vegetarian option which was cheese and tomato pasta, and the sunday 'roast' was no more than a burnt yorkshire, frozen potato and sandwish beef slices with a dribble of gravy.None of this was helped by the fact that the waitresses looking bored and peeved when we entered and waited to be seated. Then one reluctantly one of them shown us to our seat, making it obvious it was only because the other wouldnt.
I was at the falcon on mothers day and when i read this review i thought you had been at a different place. I infact know that all the vegetables, including the potatoes are cooked fresh aswell as the meats which are cooked on the premises. Our food was piping hot with plenty of gravy. The table opposite asked for extra yorkshire puddings, which were the largest i have ever seen. I think the efforts that goes into preparing the food as well as coping with the demands of the customers on a very busy day were exceptional. My family were greeted well and had no problems with the staff in fact we had a lovely day, and will be returning soon for another celebration.
