Im a curry lover and have been all over eating what i love and this is the best! keep it comeing! I eat here every weekend
It was my first time at this restaurant and what a pleasure it was! The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much for them. The food was fantastic and I will definately go back again.
I had the King Prawn Achari which surprised me with the largest prawns I have ever seen, I always have a prawn dish when I go out but I've never received prawns this big!. Absolutely delicious.
I also had the pilau rice to go with it and saag bajhi which I've never tried before but I will definately order again. Best way to describe it is YUM.
My friend had the trout machlee and two whole trout arrived!. They definately are good with the portions! The trout is cooked with spices in a clay oven which just brings out the flavour. My friend also had the Tarka Dahl which I sneaked a taste and as I thought it didn't disappoint. I can definately recommend this restaurant and will definately be going back again.
Best Indian Restaurant in North Tyneside, we've been going to the Plaza for 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Staff are always helpful, especially Dud and some of his charm is rubbing of om the other waiters, I ordered Duck Chat and it was served with the comment" Duck Chat sir, fresh from the boating lake" ! Prices are reasonable for the quality of food served and the best Rogan Josh I have ever had in any indian restaurant in the country. Try the Plaza!
The Plaza Tandoori is a huge restaurant which rarely has more than a few diners inside. The staff are always friendly though somewhat unfocused on the task in hand.
The food is not amazing but never poor, and there are some good seafood curries if you like that sort of thing. The owner seems to have tried a hundred different ways of trying to get diners in, from fountains to discount cards to fake plants.
The latest creation has been a complete redesign of the front of the restaurant, the price of which has clearly been passed to the customer.
I went for a TAKEAWAY in July '09 and was charged £28 for two starters and two mains. This is crazy pricing and means I will not be returning.
I use several Bangladeshi/Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area and a comparable meal would normally cost around £18. Stay clear until the prices match what is being sold. - Shame, I would hate to see it close.....
I LOVE CURY AND I LOVE THE PLAZA
