Absolutely horrible place, doormen are not there for safety, they are just there to act big and start fights with customers, how is this place still open!?
Horrible, horrible place, tacky in the extreme and that's even before I get to the big problem with the place.
They always seem to have a girl patrolling outside, trying to entice people to come in with vouchers offering free shot with a drink.
This voucher says free shot with any drink - one per person, shots on offer may vary. That is all.
So, I went in and bought a drink, presenting my voucher and asking what shot it was I got. The guy gave me some choices of the typical
cheap tat so I chose one of them and handed over 10 quid, he got me my drinks and gave me back 4 quid.
Now, this is a cheap, tacky Newcastle bar. Even the really expensive places in the town rarely top 5 quid for a beer.
I challenged the guy- it turns out the price included the shot. I challenged him about this. I said I'd given him the voucher, that
the shot was what he said I got with the voucher. Nooo he said smugly, you don't get that shot with the voucher.
I was conned.
Sure. It was only a few quid. No big deal. But still. I hate being cheated and don't want anyone else to give money to these cheats.
Just don't go there.
