If you want a value for money indian this place cannot be beaten.
Before 9, ask for the meal deal menu, which allows you to get a starter, main, rice and desert for £6.95. (I think this applies everyday but might not on friday/saturday?)
Admittedly the desert is vanilla icecream or coffee, but what more can you ask for! The starter and main are of good portion sizes. The food on the whole is very good, as is the service.
The place is tired, no doubt about that - especially the toilets which are basic - but overall the place is a comfortable value for money restaurant.
Drink prices are quite high for cobra- thats where they make some of the money back I guess, but still it should be less than £15 a head including drinks, nan breads, and poppadom and pickles not included in the meal deal.
